Our client is a Local Charity in the heart of Leeds operating for over 150 years. Their aim is to help young Cadets grow in a safe and friendly environment, so we were more than happy to help light the way.
The challenge was to:
We broke down the areas and suggested ways we could improve the lighting safely and effectively.
By replacing the 36 fluorescent panels with the Brightsource LED-backlit panels, Sea Cadets would increase productivity by 15%.
Brightsource LED panels are known for their longevity and energy-saving capabilities they provide up to 85% energy cost savings and last over 30 years.
Installing LEDs provided efficient task lighting in the classroom reducing glare and preventing eye strain, making it ideal for studying and learning.
Coincidently, providing the right light tone can draw attention to historical focal points (take a look at the Captains wheel to see what better lighting can do).
Switching to Emergency Maintained LED lighting improved evacuation visibility by 3 hours.
The LED bulkhead came with a 3-hour emergency duration, ensuring enough time to escape from an emergency safely. If the power fails, the emergency fittings illuminate via their battery backup.
Being able to assist the Sea Cadets was very rewarding, it not only opened the doors for future projects but opened our eyes to the wondrous work they do behind the scenes.
